License Renewal after CAM Continuous Education?
After completing the 15 hours course, you need to wait to submit the hours electronically to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
It takes 1-3 business days to process the completed hours, which are the most critical part of the Florida CAM continuing education requirements. Later on, you need to go to the DBPR website to renew your license. There’s a link provided for the same, and all you need is to follow the directions. Lastly, you need to pay a license renewal fee of $105 on the same website to complete the renewal process.
What You Need To Do Before Taking the Continuing Education Test
You are required to renew your license after every two years. This is after completing the 15-hour state-approved continuing education course. This must be done before the current license expires on 20 to of September of every even-numbered year. Always ensure you have enrolled with an approved CAM continuing education provider.
The 15 hours can be achieved through online studies, a correspondence course, or a physical classroom.
It’s important to note that individuals who obtained their licenses between October 1, 2020, and September 30, 2022, are exempted from the continuing education requirement on their first renewal. However, they have to renew their license by filing a form and paying the renewal fee.
As a licensed CAM, there are many opportunities that enable you to work with management companies, overseeing the management of many associations as well as individual community associations. That’s one of the key reasons you should always prioritize CAM continuing education.
